Testimonials for Ca'Sita B&B casa particular
My friend I stayed at Ca’Sita for 8 days and it was just PERFECT! The location was in the heart of Havana. We stayed about 5mins from the famous Malecon a place where the locals hang out, play music, and enjoy each other’s company all hours of the night. We also were not too far from where the tourist attractions were in Old Havan, about a 20 mintue walk. The WiFi Park is literally 3 blocks down, again PERFECT location to for all your needs.
The space of the house was good size. It’s not huge, but it’s very clean and comfortable for two people. We had a private room; upstairs was the bed and downstairs was the bathroom and a little dining area if we wanted to eat. The AC was upstairs in bed area. We had a window that we could open but we chose to keep the windows and curtains closed while we were out, because when we came back home from a long day the room was cool. When we leave the house we had to turn the AC off, but keeping the window and curtain shut helped. We had no water issues, water was always available. Odalis the beautiful mother of our host cooked us an amazing breakfast every morning! ( when we 1st saw her we said out loud “ OMG YOU ARE SO PRETTY) lol. The portions were more than enough which was perfect for us, because we were able to save some for later after all the walking we did while we were in Cuba.
Our host Leuber was simply amazing. He made sure all of our needs were met! Leuber went above his hostess duties to ensure that our experience in Cuba was smooth sailing. He picked us up from the airport in his old school car and my heart was so filled!! lol ( Ladies he is also a good eye candy , very handsome)
My favorite part of our stay at Ca’sita is feeling at home. We had were able to spend time with Odalis and hold conversations about life and the Cuban culture. We shared photos of our families, laughed, and spent some quality time. A true Cuban experience! Even though language was a barrier , good ol google translate was my best friend! Language did not stop us from communicating and engaging in meaningful conversations.
If you’re looking for a true Cuban experience, Ca’Sita is the perfect place for you!!!! Comfortable, center of all activities, and A + Host and Hostess!!! Odalis and Leuber you guys were Amazing!!!’

Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip!
We had a wonderful time staying at Ca'Sita for 10 days. Thank you to Sita for welcoming us into your beautiful b&b. Your recommendations and information about the city's better and lesser known spots all proved to be excellent and made for an authentically Cuban experience. We had a lovely time exploring the city. The house's central location was terrific, with a perfect balance of being off the crowded tourist strip but still within a short walk of the city centre. The b&b felt nestled within 'true' Havana, surrounded by the vendors and local people who live there. The house was full of light and the beds were very comfortable. The air conditioning was also a nice feature on those warmer evenings. The bathroom was immaculately clean, and the range of breakfast spreads each morning were delicious. Thank you for helping us arrange and organise all our activities and airport transfers - being picked up from the airport in a 1950's Chevrolet was an amazing way to start our trip. We also had such fun during our first salsa lessons. You really helped us to gain an authentic flavour of life in Havana. I would give Ca'Sita my highest recommendation! It's a perfect place for couples, solo-travellers or anyone else looking for a place to stay that truly connects you with a wonderful city.

Comfortable, Classy Location to Explore Authentic Havana
I stayed a week at Ca’Sita in March 2018 and enjoyed being immersed in an authentic Havana neighborhood that was a pleasant contrast from the touristy Havana Vieja I visited in 2013. As it turned out, the other two rooms in Ca'Sita were not occupied during my stay, so it felt like I had the house to myself. Odalis and Sita met me upon my arrival and took turns preparing breakfast for me during my stay. Their pumpkin pancakes were delicious with a bit of honey drizzled on them. They served eggs and toast and fresh fruits and crepes and tiny bananas and a spinach omlette on some of the other mornings, always with strong coffee made with an Italian Bialetti stove-top "moka". Sita had reached out before my arrival and offered to arrange an airport transfer, which I took advantage of. A vintage car taxi picked me up on my arrival and another one brought me back to the airport at the end of my stay. Both drivers were professional and the cost was reasonable for the 30-40 minute journey (20 CUC).
While the sun baked outside, the house's high ceilings kept the apartment cool and I only ended up using the air conditioner in my room for one hour on one evening to remove some humidity in the air before going to sleep. With the linen drapes over the wood slats in the room's doors out to the balcony, the night air kept the room cool on its own. The recently-remodeled, three-bedroom apartment was clean, with a hot-water shower and all the necessities provided. The double-bed was comfortable and I appreciated the cotton sheets.
The house is located in the "Centro Havana" area, a few blocks away from the Malecon waterfront road (good for long walks by the sea), and about a ten-minute walk from the historic "Havana Vieja". I loved seeing all the different local vendors pushing their carts through the streets selling bread, garlic, flowers, fruits and vegetables. Local "taxi bikes" roam the streets, offering an inexpensive "rickshaw-like" alternative to pedal you to where you want to go. The neighborhood is full of local families living their lives, which made for interesting people-watching.
The "Parque Trillo" city square with public internet access was just two blocks away on San Miguel. Several businesses around the square had overhangs for shelter when I needed WiFi while it happened to be raining. Since the park is open 24 hours and the evening temperature is plesant, I purchased one-hour scratch-off internet access cards for 1 CUC from the ETECSA booth on that square and was able to stay in touch with news and friends on my own schedule. As a tip, you can buy up to three one-hour cards or one five-hour card at a time by showing your ID. The lack of 3G service in Cuba made for a relaxing vacation, and encouraged me to read three books on my Kindle in Ca'Sita's cozy living room that is a shared space with a beautiful, period furniture and tiled floor for all guests to use.
From this central location I took a day trip to Jaimanitas on the "guagua" (public bus) out and smaller, more comfortable taxi rutero (#2) minibus back. There I checked out the Fusterlandia urban art attraction and ate lunch at a hard-to-find but worth it little seafood joint called "Santi el Pescador". Another day Sita provided me the name of a taxi driver who took me to Varadero to check out the beaches there (1.5 hours each way). In Varadero's little downtown area, I had a great meal at the "Esquina Cuba" restaurante. However, I preferred the much closer Playas del Este to the overbuilt Varadero for hanging out at the beach. It was nice that Ca'Sita provided beach towels I could use on those days.
Sita recommended that I check out the Fábrica di Arte Cubana on the corner of 11 and 26 streets. It was an amazing space to spend an evening with live music, art exhibits, local arts and crafts on display, and with a nice sit-down restaurant that served the best Cuban sandwich I ate during my trip. Another night I had a great dinner at "El Chanchullero" on Teniente Rey in Havana Vieja. Other restaurants walking distance from the house that I enjoyed were "Tu Tiempo Cafeteria" on the corner of Hospital and Jovellar streets, "Biky" on corner of Infanta and San Lazaro, and "Casa Miglis" on Lealtad (Swedish/Cuban, and a bit pricier but yummy).
I will definitely stay again at Ca'Sita when I return to Havana in the future. This trip taught me that I prefer to see the "real Cuba" at its down-to-earth, everyday best in the Centro Havana neighborhood: close to everything that counts, but far away from the flocks of tourists cruising in 1950's Chevys in the old town. Highly recommended!

Perfect Location and very Accessible
The hosts are incredibly attentive and provide the most pleasant stay you can ever imagine! The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and they went out of their way to accommodate all our requests. They gave us many tips for enjoying the old town and the new part of Havana .
Ca Sita b&b has the most beautiful rooms and quiet atmosphere. The location is great - within walking distance of the old town but out of the tourist bustle. Would recommend highly to anyone!
After a busy week in Italy, all my family and I wanted was a place to relax, eat well and enjoy the sun and the music. Ca Sita provided a perfect setting for all that and more. Our bedroom was gorgeous, spacious and provided with total privacy. The whole place is a piece of heaven. On top of that we felt like Leo, Sita and Odalis were our old-time friends. They made us feel like the most special people in the world and organised amazing places for us to visit and eat. and we enjoyed the rides and sightseeing on the typical world famous 1951 Chevrolet cabriolet.
They were very professional and made everything really easy for us.
They helped us out with laundry service, served drinks as we relaxed on the terrace (which is on the uppermost floor) and even invited us for dinner one day.
It is 10 Minute walk to the famous Cuban Malecon and the Cuban historic Center is a fifteen minutes walk. We always felt safe in Havana, also during the nights when we went out to have some drinks. I will definitely come back!!!
